Holiday Gifting Opportunities

Dear Friends of dZi,

This holiday season, gift a donation in the name of a friend or relative and introduce them to the inspiring work of the dZi Foundation. Our greatest supporters and advocates are you, the people aware of the work of The dZi Foundation. Your help will allow us to expand our reach, by gifting a donation to someone who you feel will be touched and inspired by our efforts. The recipient will receive a letter acknowledging that you have made a donation in their name and you will receive the tax donation receipt. In addition we will send the recipient a description of the project you have gifted, a brochure and DVD on the work of the dZi Foundation. All ordering and payment information is listed below the five gifting opportunities.

Optic Solutions - $50.00

Provide ten children with their own pair of prescription glasses from our vision clinics held in Nepal, Ladakh and Sikkim India. We have tested the eyesight of hundreds of children and provided corrective lenses through our program, Optic Solutions. Change a child’s life by providing the gift of sight.

Primary Education Sponsorship - $75.00

Give the gift of education to one child for one year. Your help will provide uniforms, shoes, school bag, textbooks, stationary and two hours of tutoring each day after regular school, plus a hot lunch each school day for that child. The dZi Foundation has built a separate classroom that is used for the lunchroom and the tutoring. Without dZi’s support, these children would not otherwise have this educational opportunity.

Primary Dental Care - $100.00

Your donation will provide dental care for ten children at one of our sponsored clinics. Last year dZi sponsored four dental clinics in Ladakh, India and Kathmandu, Nepal, providing children with first time preventative dental care. The dZi Foundation will partner and fund six dental clinics in 2006 with the Himalayan Dental Relief Project.

Marmot / dZi Foundation Jackets - $150.00

Marmot Mountain Ltd. has donated their award winning DriClime Jackets for sale with proceeds going to the dZi Foundation. The DriClime jacket won the “Editors Choice” award from Outside Magazine. These jackets are for sale for $150.00, come in women's and men’s sizing and are available for women in black or Oceana blue. or for men in Indigo blue or black. All jackets are beautifully embroidered with a red “dZi Foundation” logo. Please note that your donation is for a dZi Jacket and include your sizing and color choice. The tax credit you will receive with this purchase is 50.00 because of the Marmot/dZi Jacket has a value of 100.00.

The Nutritional Rehabilitation Home - $250.00

The dZi Foundation partners on this excellent program started by the Nepalese Opportunity Youth Foundation. Your funding will support one severely malnourished child and her mother for five weeks at the Nutritional Rehabilitation Home. Your contribution will provide all food, medical supplies, doctor visits and nutritional education classes bringing the child to 80% of their target weight. Once the child has returned to their village, three follow-up visits will be made to support the child’s progress. The mother also takes her newly learned nutritional education back to the village to share with her community.

The easiest way to complete this donation is to e-mail your contact information and the recipient's contact and gift information to us. We will process your order immediately and send it to the recipient. Next, send us the donation by mail (either check or credit card information) and we will process your donation, mailing the tax receipt to you.

If you want to donate on line go to our website www.dzifoundation.org and click on “How To Donate”. You will still have to send us the order information in a separate e-mail.
