THE dZi FOUNDATION supports twenty-two health, education, and community development programs throughout the Himalayan region of India and Nepal.

We serve communities not on the radar of other International Non-Governmental Organizations due to caste make-up and remote location. Our programs:

Make basic education more accessible by building schools; sponsoring and training teachers; organizing effective parent-teacher groups; and supplying books, school uniforms, and even daily lunches;

Provide safe havens for young girls so that they are not subject to child labor and trafficking, and have an opportunity to go to school;

Promote basic health through preventive dental and vision clinics for children, water and sanitation improvements, and hygiene education;

Help communities take control of their own future through our support of locally initiated community development projects.
